QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION Each tablet contains: Active ingredient: Cephalexin (as cephalexin monohydrate) 50 mg Excipients: Qualitative composition of the excipients and other ingredients Lactose monohydrate Potato starch Colloidal hydrated silica Yeast (dry) Chicken flavour Magnesium stearate Flavoured tablet, light brown with brown spots, round and convex, cross-scored on one side. The tablets can be divided into two or four equal parts. 3. CLINICAL INFORMATION 3.1 Target species Dogs and cats. 3.2 Indications for use for the individual target species For the treatment of: - Respiratory infections, in particular bronchopneumonia, caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp., Escherichia coli and Klebsiella spp. - Urinary tract infections caused by Escherichia coli, Proteus spp. and Staphylococcus spp. - Skin infections in cats caused by Staphylococcus spp. and Streptococcus spp. and skin infections in dogs caused by Staphylococcus spp. 3.3 Contraindications Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient, to other cephalosporins, to other substances in the beta-lactam group or to any of the excipients. Do not use in known cases of resistance to cephalosporins or penicillins. Do not use in rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters or gerbils.
