BD Micro Fine insulin syringes are specially marked to inject Caninsulin or U-40 dosed insulin (40 international units per ml) into cats or dogs. Box of 100 syringes to inject insulin dosed at 40 IU/ml (Caninsulin), to treat dogs and cats. The benefits of these insulin syringes are as follows: * They allow you to inject up to 40 UI of Caninsulin and are marked every 1 UI, making it easier to administer small doses (a particular benefit when treating cats and small dogs for diabetes). * The needle is crimped, thereby reducing the amount of empty space at the tip, and minimising the amount of Caninsulin wasted each time it is injected. * The needle size is 29 g - 0.33 x 12.7mm, making the injection easier and less painful. Caninsulin is a porcine insulin used to treat diabetes mellitus in dogs and cats in order to regulate the glycemic index (amount of blood sugar). Caninsulin injections are to be administered subcutaneously. In other words, take a fold of your pet's skin in between your fingers and insert the needle under the skin, injecting the Caninsulin between the outer skin and the muscle.
